    West Hatch High School holding Open Evenings

    An open evening for Year 7 entry students is being held at West Hatch High School, High Road, Chigwell, next Wednesday (September 27) from 6.30pm.

    Children and their parents and carers will be able to tour the school and hear about the successes of West Hatch, and also its expansion from next September.

    An additional 60 students will be admitted into Year 7 next September. 

    New facilities at the school will include a new sports hall and additional classrooms to
    accommodate the increase in numbers.

    The school will be holding two open days so parents and pupils can see the school in action.

    Sixth Form open evening

    For students considering Year 12 (Sixth Form) entry to West Hatch, an open evening is being held on Wednesday, November 8 (from 7pm).

    Staff and students will be on hand to discuss the various A-Level and vocational courses on offer.

    Headteacher Daniel Leonard said: "We have a proven track record of exam success with many students gaining apprenticeships and places at top universities.

    "We provide opportunities for our students so they are able to thrive and compete with the best."
