Max, a Year 9 student, represented England under-14 boys at the annual Turku tournament in Finland where the team dropped just one point throughout the weekend-long event.

West Hatch High School headteacher Daniel Leonard said: "We are so proud to see how Max is doing. He is not only a really conscientious student but also a very talented young man. 

"We look forward to seeing him in the Olympics in the future if he keeps making such amazing progress."
