Students at West Hatch High School were among the young people from Epping Forest schools invited to the annual Epping Forest Careersfest held at Epping Forest College on Thursday, January 26.

The event is organised by local school Careers Advisors.

A range of employers and training providers were on hand to speak to students who were able to gain an insight into what the various industries and companies could offer.

Geoff Towsey, West Hatch High School's Careers Advisor, said: "This was an amazing opportunity for students to speak to employers and find out about all the opportunities out there.

"We are privileged to have so many employers and training providers who are happy to help make this event such a success.

"On behalf of myself and the other Careers Advisors  I would like to say a massive thank you to all the exhibitors and guests who attended the event.”

West Hatch High School runs an intensive programme of Careers advice for all students but in Years 10 and 11 and the Sixth Form this intensifies to include advice on employment opportunities, apprenticeships and HE pathways.
