Head of House Guy Blain said: "We were very pleased to take part in Save the Children's Christmas Jumper Day and had many students and staff taking part helping us to raise money and help children in the world not as lucky as we are.

"Many of the staff and students entered into the spirit and showed their Christmas spirit to help vulnerable children at the same time."

Headteacher Frances Howarth said: "We have been delighted with the participation for such a worthwhile cause. Both students and staff have been very creative and have added much to a memorable last day of term.

"Our thanks to Mr Blain for organising  such a successful event."

The school's Christmas Jumper Day fundraising began with the cross-country team taking part in their usual run - complete with their festive outfits.

Our fundraising efforts raised £753.24.
