Elevate Education visited West Hatch High School's Sixth Form to deliver a session on Study Skills to Year 12 students.
The session focused on the difference between GCSE and A-Levels with the presenter covering topics such as organisation and memory skills.
Deputy Head of Sixth Form Mrs Karen Moore said: “Students were encouraged to participate by identifying the application of their present study skills. Their differing learning styles were then evaluated and judged efficient or inefficient.”
The immediate feedback from students was really positive with many agreeing that Elevate had encouraged them to experiment with new and different ways of learning.
The advice to adhere very carefully to exam specifications and to read examiners' reports to learn from the mistakes of others was particularly well received practical advice.
Virtually all the students who attended said they would highly recommend the seminar to their peers.
