England training call-up for West Hatch High School goalkeeper

West Hatch High School student Charlie Freeman has been selected by the FA and England international scouts for a three-day training camp at St George's Park national football centre.

West Hatch High School student Charlie Freeman has been selected by the FA and England international scouts for a three-day training camp at St George's Park national football centre.

The Year 11 student was one of only seven goalkeepers from across the country selected to take part. He joined 'keepers from clubs such as Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea.

Furthermore, the camp was designed for the under-17 age group so Charlie was attending a year up.

Charlie trained twice daily following ice bath recovery and gym sessions before attending classroom meetings where all 'keepers had to analyse performances with the guidance of FA senior goalkeepers officials.

Charlie has recently received a pro-contract with Tottenham Hotspur and will become a full-time scholar after his GCSE examinations.
