West Hatch High School has yet again secured very impressive results with a very high number of students achieving A and A* grades.

Top performers this year are Georgia Roth (11 A*/As), Ruby Edwards, Anoushka Sharma, Fred Skipper, Jasmine Smith and Samantha Toplis (all nine A*/As) and Matthew Drummond-Poynter, Billy Harris, Nawal Khan, Lucy Maddison and Sophia Vrahimi (all eight A*/As).

Headteacher Frances Howarth said: “We are delighted for our students. These results reflect all the tremendous hard work put in by our pupils and staff.

“A number of our best performers heard their results via text as they are trekking with the school undertaking voluntary work in Kenya.

“So many of our students will now be able to progress to Sixth Form study at the school.”

The Sixth Form at West Hatch is well known for its extensive range of well-established A-Level and vocational courses, its work shadowing, internships, Extended Project Qualification, Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, Global Young Leaders Programme and opportunities to trek and travel abroad with Camps International.

The Sixth Form Centre is set in extensive grounds with superb facilities.

Mrs Howarth added: “The school’s Sixth Form leavers take with them the confidence, skills and excellent results enabling them to compete with the best.”

Details of courses open for recruitment will be available on Monday, September 7. Visit www.westhatch.essex.sch.uk
