Some 170 parents and prospective students attended an additional sixth form open evening at West Hatch High School, Chigwell.
The event (Thursday, January 22) gave students and parents a chance to see around the Chigwell school, speak to students and staff and find out more about what West Hatch High School Sixth Form has to offer.
Presentations on the school's AS and A-level achievements were given by headteacher Frances Howarth and Victoria Schaefer, Assistant Headteacher responsible for KS5 while talks were also given by head girl Deanna Mathers and Meg Abery.
Visitors could tour the school to find out more about the various sixth form subject areas with presentations and displays throughout the school, including in chemistry, biology, textiles and music and drama.
Headteacher Frances Howarth said: "'We were very pleased to be able to put on a second evening for prospective sixth form students and were delighted with the numbers who attended.
"The feedback we had was excellent with parents and students appreciating the subject talks and the opportunities they had to ask questions of those currently studying the courses that we offer. We look forward to many of the students joining us in September."
Mrs Schaefer said: "The evening was a great success with many students from the local area showing an interest in the variety of subjects we offer. It was fantastic to meet so many dedicated and enthusiastic students.”
