Year 12 Induction Day - Monday 29th June
On Monday 29th June we will be holding our sixth form offer holders induction day. The purpose of this day will be to prepare you for life in sixth form and to look at some of the fundamental skills and knowledge needed for your chosen courses.
The day will start with registration in the foyer from 8:20am where students will be given their personalised timetable for the day. Please enter the school via the main reception entrance. A brief talk will then take place in the main hall after which students will then go off for subject lessons and other activities. Students will need to bring school equipment with them.
The rest of the day will be set out as follows:
Period 1 08:40am – 09:10am
Period 2 09:10am – 10:10am
Period 3 10:10am - 11:10pm
Break 11:10am – 11:30am
Period 4 11:30am - 12:30pm
Period 5 12:30pm - 1:30pm
Lunch 1:30pm - 2:15pm
Period 6 2:15pm – 3:15pm

Fire procedures
In the event of an emergency your assembly point is outside the 6th form block on the grassed area.
Attendance
You are expected to attend all lessons/sessions. If you are going to be absent, please inform the school via telephone 020 8504 8216 before 08:30am on the morning of absence or email 6thadmissions@westhatch.net.
If you feel unwell or have to leave school during the day, you must inform a member of the 6th form team (someone is always in the 6th form block) and then sign out.
Registers will be taken for each lesson and attendance will be monitored.
Food and drink
Food and drink can be purchased from the 6th form cafe which operates from 10.30am until 2.15pm. You will not be able to use the main canteen. Your break will be 11.10-11.30am. Please ensure your Parent Pay Lunch account has sufficient funds. External students, cash will be accepted to purchase food.
Dress code
You are welcome to wear your existing uniform or clothing that conforms to the Sixth Form dress code.
