Lockdown Events: Virtual Career Talks

Speakers for Schools and Spring Pod have organised a range of careers talks, with some amazing guest speakers (some who have previously visited West Hatch), which can be accessed online.

Mr Towsey has been adding the upcoming talks to Show My Homework each week, but you can see the previous talks via the following links:

Lockdown Events: Virtual Work Experience

Due to the current situation, many employers are no longer able to offer Work Experience; however, some can offer virtual Work Experience placements instead.

Whilst these may not be the same as a practical Work Experience placement, they still offer an insight into companies and would be an amazing thing to add to your CV.

Over the next couple of weeks, there may be more companies and organisations offering placements, but for now, it might be worth having a look at the following:

Halliday Fraser Munro

Brighton & Sussex Medical School and Observe GP and NHS (non-clinical roles)

Freeformers via Barclays Life Skills

Tesco: Food Love Story Marketing/Creative Campaign Department

ISG

PwC

Boundless Theatre

I have a voice

Brixton Finishing School: Advertising, Marketing, and Communications

Ofcom (The Office of Communications)

bp: Work Insights

GCHQ: STEM And Cyber Security

British Airways: Virtual Inspire Academy

You could also check out Inside Sherpa, who offer virtual Work Experience with different companies.

We are privileged to be working with the Y.E.S. Partnership and are involved with their Motivation and World of Work Conference. For more information about their amazing work, please see their website: www.yespartnership.org
