Past and present West Hatch High School students took starring roles in a charity concert organised by the Rotary Club of Loughton, Buckhurst Hill and Chigwell at St Mary’s Church, Loughton.

The concert featured solo performances from former West Hatch student Charlotte Jaconelli, who with fellow ex-West Hatch student Jonathan Antoine, was runner-up in ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent programme.

Also performing at the concert, which raised over £1,400 for the Loughton Foodbank, Friends of Jubilee Lodge and other charities, was the Modality youth choir which features 12 past or present West Hatch High School students as well as others from Trinity, Chingford Foundation and Woodbridge High Schools.

The Modality youth choir is conducted by director Jenny Ewington, a singing teacher at West Hatch.
