West Hatch holds Carol Concert

West Hatch High School held its annual Year 7 carol concert on Monday (13th December) but as a result of Covid-19 and increasing cases nationally, the event was held in the school hall rather than at St Paul's Church, Woodford Bridge, as planned.

The school's choir sang Christmas carols and songs with the rest of Year 7 joining in with a number of songs.

The school was delighted to welcome Reverend Ola Franklyn who gave a lovely talk to students about the meaning of Christmas. A number of students read passages to the congregation.

Headteacher Daniel Leonard said, “This is always such a wonderful way to mark the end of the Autumn Term and the concert was beautifully observed by all of our Year 7 students. I'd like to thank Reverend Franklin and the school's music department, led by Marcella Lord, for organising the event. It was a lovely start to the festive period for us all."
