More than 1,000 people attended West Hatch High School's Open Evening last night.

All Departments were open to prospective West Hatch Year 7 students and their parents who heard about the school's successes and life at West Hatch from Headteacher Daniel Leonard and five current students.

Mr Leonard said: "We were delighted to open our doors to parents and prospective West Hatch pupils and share with them the things that make West Hatch such a wonderful place to be.

"I know first-hand the difficult decision facing the parents and carers who joined us but I hope that the strong ethos and values that permeate across all we do at West Hatch resonated with them.

"Our pupils, who spoke in front of a very large audience over the course of the evening, made me so proud and really showed what it means to be part of the West Hatch Family."

* The West Hatch High School Sixth Form open evening is on Wednesday, November 6.  Doors open at 6.30pm with a headteacher's talk at 6.45pm. The evening closes at 8.30pm.
