Students at West Hatch High School were celebrating their GCSE examination results today with the vast majority enrolling into the school’s Sixth Form.

With another successful year for the school, Headteacher Daniel Leonard said “today is an exciting and terrifying day for our students and it is a great pleasure to share it with them. We are, as always, exceptionally proud of how well they have done and delighted that so many are staying with us for the next two years of their studies.

With almost half of the students achieving 8 A*-C grades or equivalent, some of our students really excelled; a number of whom can be seen below.

Mr Leonard continued that “although we have highlighted our top attainers above, we are equally proud of those who have made the most progress in their studies with students such as April Darley and Joe Greenaway who achieved on average around 3 grades above their expected grades across all subjects. All of our students have worked so hard to achieve their results and I look forward to seeing how they grow and develop in the future.”
