Success at Economics Debating Day

Students attend an Economics Debating Day, where Tom Sheehan and Daniel Adekanle receive a special awards for their debating skills.

On Wednesday 19th June, eight Year 12 Economics A-level students were chosen to attend an Economics debating day at the New College of the Humanities in Bedford Square, London.

The students took part in a range of debates based on globalisation and the costs associated with international aid.  Under the supervision and observation of University staff, masters and PhD students they had to prepare presentations for and against various points.  They also had to answer some very challenging questions from other students.

All eight students worked very well and gained a great deal of confidence and exposure to what it is like to study Economics at University.

Tom Sheehan and Daniel Adekanle were selected for special awards regarding their debating skills.
