West Hatch High School holds Bake Off Competition

Staff and students at West Hatch High School took part in a savoury Bake Off challenge.  They cooked up everything from Indian savoury rolls and quiches to bread and sausage rolls.  The winning student and staff member from each House will now compete in a Great British Bake Off-style final.

The winning student and staff member from each House will now compete in a Great British Bake Off-style final.

Headteacher Daniel Leonard said: "The Bake Off is our most popular annual House event and the pupils and staff have once again cooked up a storm.

"It was a pleasure judging the entries again this year and well done to everyone who entered and of course to our House winners."

The winning students were Emma Basro (Year 7), Charlotte Lillywhite (Year 8), Beau Harris (Year 8), Shea Hanley (Year 7) and Sam Bridge (Year 8).

The winning staff members were Guy Blain (Head of Austen), Gemma Saunders (Student Services), Raj Narwal (Technology), Niamh Lowry (Geography) and Sarah Tester (Science).

The entries were sold off raising £27, which will be added to the £184 raised at a Macmillan Coffee Morning, with £211 donated to Macmillan Cancer Support.
