Year 8 West Hatch High School swimmer Ryan Davis was crowned Essex County Champion in the 200m Freestyle at the Essex County Swimming Championships.

The event was held over three weekends at the London Aquatic Centre and Basildon Sporting Village. 

Ryan was also a silver medallist at 1,500m Freestyle and bronze medallist at 100m and 400m Freestyle. 

He also achieved six further top ten finishes at other strokes and distances. 

His next major competition is the East Region championships, involving swimmers from six counties, at the end of May.
