Headteacher Frances Howarth said: “Yet again all the hard work of our students and staff has paid off. After weeks of waiting we are very pleased for them. So many of our students will now be able to progress to Sixth Form study at West Hatch.

“We are also very proud of those students who found their work hard yet overcame their difficulties achieving very good results too.

“We had record numbers apply this year to the Sixth Form and we welcome them all. Not only will they commence their studies on A-Level and/or vocational courses but they will all have the opportunity to undertake work placements and shadowing, internships, the Extended Project qualification, the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme, and the Global Young Leaders Programme.

“They will also have opportunities to trek and travel to remote corners of the globe with Camps International.

“Students will enjoy the bespoke Sixth Form centre which is set in extensive grounds with superb facilities. Many of them will take up leadership and prefect roles within our well established House system.

“Our Sixth Form leavers take with them the confidence, skills and excellent results enabling them to compete with the best.”

Details of courses open for recruitment will be available on Monday, September 5. Visit www.westhatch.essex.sch.uk
