West Hatch High School students put in impressive performances at indoor athletics competition
The second round of the competition at Sport England’s Lea Valley Athletics Centre saw girls and boys from Year 7 to Year 13 competed in 60m and 200m track events as well as long jump, triple and shot.
West Hatch students recorded impressive performances in the Waltham Forest Indoor Winter Athletics competition.
The second round of the competition at Sport England’s Lea Valley Athletics Centre saw girls and boys from Year 7 to Year 13 competed in 60m and 200m track events as well as long jump, triple and shot.
The Years 8 and 9 athletes, who were the current leaders in the competition, were again impressive with Renee Denahy and Abigail Dada victorious in the 60m and 200m respectively.
Year 13 student Edward Yamah clocked 6.57secs in the 60m while Year 8 student Mariellen Teubes and Year 12 student Alex Dean won their respective races.
